Amesiella monticola A new species from the Philippines. Amesiella monticola is endemic to the mountains of central Luzon at elevations of between 1,800 and 2,200 metres. It grows as an epiphyte on the fringes of rainforest. The glistening white flowers are usually larger with wider petals & sepals, and are perfumed in the evening.

Cochleanthes amazonica Native to the Amazon area, mostly in Peru and Ecuador, this plant has no pseudobulbs for storage, and the thin wide leaves require that moisture be available at the roots at all times.
